OUR PERFORMANCE
SMARTE EAST aims to provide a service that exceeds national standards.  To achieve this SMARTE EAST is committed to establishing baseline KPIs that can be benchmarked against the construction industry standards to exemplify the benefits of the alliance, so SMARTE EAST has therefore aligned these to the ‘Constructing Excellence’ KPIs.

The baseline ‘Constructing Excellence’ KPIs being used are:
 
  • Predictability of Cost (Design)
  • Predictability of Cost (Construction)
  • Predictability of Time (Design)
  • Predictability of Time (Construction)
  • Health and safety accidents

  • It will be the responsibility of the Project Manager to complete the Report Stages in accordance with this process however it will be an important request that the design team and contractor provide their appropriate information to help in this process in a timely manner.

    The secondary ‘Constructing Excellence’ KPIs are:
     
  • Impact on environment
  • Impact on biodiversity (Product)
  • Impact on biodiversity (Construction)
  • Whole life performance
  • Commercial vehicle movements
  • Waste
  •  
  • Energy used (Product)
  • Energy used (Construction)
  • Mains water use (Product)
  • Mains water use (Construction)
  • Area of habitat created or retained
  • Initially design teams and contractors will be asked to simply submit this data to provide baseline criteria, however as the framework matures there will be the opportunity to benchmark the environmental impact of SMARTE EAST against projects nationally.

    Additionally SMARTE EAST will record information on whether:

    • Settlement of final account is within three months of practical completion
    • All defects identified during defects correction period are resolved
