| How quickly can SMARTE East commence my project? |
| Becoming a new Associate Member is a quick process. New associates are accepted into the framework by the Smarte East board and will be required to sign up to an associate agreement. Please contact us for the relevant pro-forma. We have experience of acting quickly on urgent projects, cutting down procurement time and allowing construction to commence rapidly. |

| How would a constructor be appointed to my project? |
| Smarte East manages a mini-competition process within the relevant project cost band. This is typically managed by the Project Manager. Mini-competitions are flexible and can be used to achieve the clients aims in appointing a constructor or design team to the project. |

| Do I still need to go via OJEU? |
| No. The Smarte East framework has been through an OJEU process and is available to all public sector bodies in the East of England and London. The framework offers Constructor and Project Management services. |

| How much does it cost? |
There is a cost to use the framework. This pays for programme management, shared learning and the cost of procuring the framework itself. | Who has used SMARTE East? |
| The framework is used by the founding authorities, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk County Councils. It has also been used by associate members, these include Thurrock Council, Basildon Council, Colchester Borough Council and other schools and Waste Authorities. |
